Atlanta, GA., — The Atlanta Braves are coming off an impressive win as the World Series Champs and they are already plotting on doing it again next year by signing Catcher Manny Piña.

Piña agreed to $8 million over the span of two years and the contract also includes a $4 million club option for 2024 with no buyout. In his first year, he will make $3.5 million, and $4.5 million in 2023. The 34-year-old is a native of Barquisimeto, Venezuela, and hit a career-best 13 home runs over 75 games with the Brewers last season.

He is joining the Braves to help relieve some stress off of Travis d’Arnaud. In 2011, Piña made his career debut with Kansas City. He has a promising future and is slated to help the team in several ways.

He also agreed to donate 1% of his earnings each year of his deal to the Atlanta Braves Foundation.

Welcome to Atlanta, Manny Piña!
